A journey by Suveer T N

From Peaks to Purpose

A Trek Through Life

What began with a Himalayan trek became a reflection on life — the choices we make, the people we meet, and the lessons we carry forward. The book was the first expression of that journey. The journey continues.

About This Journey

From Peaks to Purpose began with ten days in the Kashmir Himalayas and grew into something larger — a reflection on purpose, resilience, and what we carry forward through the stages of life. The book is the first chapter. The conversations, the talks, the questions from people navigating their own transitions — these are the chapters that follow.

About the Book

More Than a Trek. A Mirror for Your Life.

A unique blend of travelogue and self-discovery through the Kashmir Himalayas — each chapter mirrors a different stage of life, infused with wisdom from the Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata, and modern psychology.

Words of Praise

Forewords

Reflections from those who know the author and the spirit of this journey.

Suveer TN has written a book that mirrors his ethics, character and the way he lives his life – full of purpose and service above self. No wonder a book with the title From Peak to Purpose comes from him.

Suveer eloquently describes his entire trek from Sekdur camp to Naarang from the beauty of the Himalayas, quoting verses and passages from various sources and drawing parallels between various stages of life and the trek.

The enthusiasm and willingness to explore with open heart as a person goes through childhood is seen in his excitement to reach base camp and willingness to obey the trek organizers. The unbridled confidence of adolescents is depicted by some of the people in the entourage taking a detour to explore the pristine landscape. Suveer describes the struggles in reaching Satsar and the extreme challenges the trek poses to people from the plains. Every chapter has an insight that one can use in their daily lives.

Suveer is a young man, but through his trek he has shown glimpses of what a fulfilled life is all about. It goes to show how principle-based living plays a role in attaining peace and prosperity in life. His sincerity in describing various aspects and aligning them with life is true at heart and hence, I hope, will resonate well with the reader.

One incident that Suveer described has so much compassion — the saving of the mule from certain death, where many in the troop played a part. It reminds us that random acts of kindness and care for animals are a part of everything we do in life. I hope the reader finds many such inspiring messages throughout the various passages of the book.

May From Peak to Purpose inspire many readers to look at their own journey with courage, gratitude, and meaning.
